Scholarship

What

The Monroe County Fair Board is oering a scholarship opportunity in 2026 for all active 4-H & FFA Members that are currently exhibitors at the Monroe County Fair and will graduate in 2026.

Applicants must have exhibited at the 2025 Fair to be eligible for this scholarship opportunity. This includes the school districts of Albia, Moravia, Twin Cedars, and Eddyville/Blakesburg/Fremont currently. Completed scholarship essay and picture must be emailed to monroecountyiafair@gmail.com no later than April 1st, 2026. There are no exceptions to this process. 

How

Please write in your own words (minimum of 200) what the Monroe County Fair has meant to you. Please include all involvement and especially focus on what YOU contribute to the actual fair workload that benets more than just yourself or your own family. Please choose at

least one key person within the 4-H or FFA Organization that has been instrumental to your fair experience over the years and how they helped you. In closing we want you to think about how you can give back to the Monroe County Fair following high school graduation and how you plan to implement that new adult role to help make our yearly event the best that it can be in Monroe County!

When

The Monroe County Fair Board is honored that you chose to apply for this scholarship in 2026. Scholarships will be awarded at the 2026 Monroe County Fair. Information will be available to all scholarship recipients prior to the scheduled event.


The Monroe County Fair Board holds auction events at various livestock shows and events during the fair. The gracious donations of items to auction in conjunction with great and dedicated bidders and buyers during the events is what makes this such a success for our graduating seniors each year. If your business or family is interested in participating in this great way to give back to our exhibitors, please feel free to contact us.
